Plot[]
An armored truck arrives at a large military facility known as Falcon Base during the night. Two of the facility's guards discuss one of the truck's passengers: Major Washington, who has recovered from his brain injury thanks to cutting-edge robotics and old kitchen appliances. Wash transports an alien artifact inside the facility, where several more guards are seen for added security. Outside the entrance, a pair of guards discuss their concerns over the artifact, fearing that its presence will invite trouble.
Suddenly, a heavily-armored soldier named Diesel appears before them forcing the two guards to open fire. Diesel quickly kills the pair and blasts his way inside the building. As the guards attack in retaliation Diesel fights back, easily overpowering them with his unique super strength. Wash arrives with reinforcements and orders his crew to fire at Diesel. The guards land a direct hit on him with a rocket launcher. Unfortunately, Diesel emerges from the blast unharmed, shocking Wash and the others. Diesel then leaps into the air and ground-pounds into a lower hallway, making his way toward the alien artifact. Wash then rushes off for backup.
As more guards stand in defense, a pink-bladed knife flies past them. A pink and black-armored soldier named Phase suddenly teleports herself into the hallway and uses her blade to dismember the guards' weapons. As the guards fight back with stun batons, Phase uses her teleportation abilities to kill each one of them in quick succession. Wash attempts to flank the two enemies but they quickly get him at gunpoint. However, Phase is forced to teleport away when a shotgun is pressed against her head, wielded by Carolina. The four then engage in combat, with Carolina facing Phase and Wash battling Diesel. Unable to keep up with their enhanced strength and teleportation skills, the Freelancers are overpowered by the enemy duo, who blast their way into the room where the alien artifact is held. Phase and Diesel's commander, Zero, soon enters the room and has his two partners attack Carolina, who refuses to back down.
Elsewhere, four colorfully-armored soldiers speed around in a canyon in a pair of warthogs. The two drivers, Agents One and East, grow competitive with each other and race towards their destination. Their passengers, Agent Axel and rookie Raymond, protest their actions. As the race gets more intense, the four soldiers finally reach their destination, just barely colliding into their commanding officer: Agent West. The team, known as Shatter Squad, stand in attention before West, who scolds them for their actions. However, rather than punish them, West tells them that bigger problems have arose. Just then, Raymond vomits inside his helmet.
Back at the facility, now up in flames, the enemy trio, a syndicate who identify as Viper, steal the artifact and take an unconscious Washington with them. Phase then knocks out a weakened Carolina before leaving with her crew. The trio torture Wash for information on the temples that supposedly hold the key to the ultimate power, but he refuses to talk. As a result, Phase and Diesel use a dagger to force the info out of Wash; the dagger itself causing Wash excruciating pain. Zero makes his way back down the building, killing any remaining guards along the way. Phase then informs him that they have the coordinates. As a result, Zero destroys what's left of the facility and teleports away.
