Simmons' unnamed lieutenant is a New Republic rebel soldier of Simmons' red team squad.

Role in Plot

The lieutenant is first seen in Oh Captains, My Captains where she and her squad mates, commanded by Simmons, take involvement in a New Republic training exercise. Unfortunately the exercise goes haywire due to Simmons, Grif, and Caboose's poor leadership. Later on she, along with the other New Republic soldiers listen to Grif on how the Blood Gulch Crew defeated the Meta. The lieutenant and Jensen then ask Simmons if it's true, to which he admits it is, earning him more of their admiration.

Personality

While she does exhibit some nerd-like traits and is quite reverent to Simmons, like Jensen, this lieutenant acts more feminine and plays sports, such as volleyball. Along with this, she seems to have some romantic feelings to Simmons, as she says in a flirty tone "So hot!" after learning how he and Grif defeated the Meta.

• Ironically, the lieutenant and Jensen show romantic interest in Simmons, who's extremely nervous around girls.
• According to Simmons in Teaming with Problems, the lieutenant plays volleyball and is physically attractive.
