Shane Newville was a co-animator at Rooster Teeth Productions, and worked on the animation of Season 10, and later on RWBY with Monty Oum. Shane was married to Katie Newville and provided the voice for Freckles in The Chorus Trilogy. He also has his own YouTube channel where he posts more animations.
He was let go from Rooster Teeth in January 2016. The role of Freckles was given to Miles Luna.

- Incidentally, his ex-wife provided the voice for Cyclops, a large military assault droid that was located inside the Hand of Merope, much like Freckles, who Shane voiced, likely an intentional casting.
