Transcript[]
Epsilon: Okay, uh, letās move that, back it up, and then run it again with these parameters.
Theta: Acknowledged.
Allison (in recording): Leonard, come on, I have to go.
Epsilon: Put that away.
Gamma: Sorry.
Many muffled voices of the Reds and Blues play in the background.
Epsilon: Give me simulation Indigo-7-4 but add in 30% personnel loss, and then run it recursively up through 90%, in whole units.
Delta: On it.
Allison (in recording, lines overlapping with each other): Leonard, come on, I have to go. Donāt worry,ā Leonard, come onā youāll see meā youāll see me againā I have to goā
Epsilon (as Allisonās recording continues to play behind him): Guys, why is this one playing?
Allison (in recording, lines continue to overlap with increasing frequency): Leonard, come on, I have to go. Donāt worry,ā I have to goā Donāt worry.
Epsilon: Who keeps playing this?
Allison (in recording, repeated many times over itself): Donāt worryāworryāworryā
Epsilon: Enough!
Unknown Figure: Pretty sure youāre doing that, boss.
Epsilon: Scoffs. You? When did you get a new voice?
Unknown Figure: Well, when you gave me one, I suppose. Maybe in one of yourā¦ simulations.
Epsilon: Yeah, well, I donāt like it. It doesnāt sound right.
Unknown Figure: Oh, I agree. But! Here we are. You ever wonder about that? Chuckles. Why weāre here? (Why weāre here)
Epsilon: Oh, god, leave me alone.
Unknown Figure: Oh, I know why Iām here. I have a goal. A purpose (a purpose). To restore what once was great. And make it great again.
Epsilon: The Alpha.
Unknown Figure: Laughs. Oh, but what about you. Whatās the point of all this.
Epsilon: Sighs. I just need to prepare them. If theyāre going to survive this, they need to be ready for whatās next.
Unknown Figure: What, like this? You really think this is possible?
Epsilon: Well, that oneās just cool. You know what, maybe try not being an asshole for once. If I can justā¦ run enough simulations I canā
Unknown Figure: Aagh, youāve already run millions!
Epsilon: If I just run enough, I can get them ready.
Unknown Figure: You canāt think of everything! You canāt make it perfect!
Epsilon: I can make it better. Someone once told me, ābetter can be good enough.ā And I have time. Time means something different to me now.
Unknown Figure: But youāre forgetting something, arenāt you. Oh, you can feel it, something right at the edges of your mind. A lost memory! Oh, like you always say (always say)ā
Delta: Memory is the key.
Unknown Figure: Oh youāve run so many of these, simulations. What have you learned (learned)?
Epsilon: That I have to do what Iām about to do. But if I do it, we always end up in the same place.
Sigma: Thatās right. And thatās where Iāll be. That is where we will be. At the end.
Epsilon: It can work. I know it can work. Faith. I just have to have faith. Itāll work. But I guess Iāll never know. Aināt that a bitch. (beat) Letās run one more.

Trivia[]
- This is the first episode written by series creator Burnie Burns since the Season 13 Trailer. Coincidentally, both center on Epsilon. This is also the first episode directed by Matt Hullum since Red vs. Blue vs. Rooster Teeth from Season 14.
- This is the first episode in which Sigma is not voiced by Elijah Wood.
- Gamma is voiced by the text-to-speech voice Microsoft Sam, rather Mac OS X voice synthesizer-system voice Fred.
- The featured music is "Dark Discovery" by Philip Guyler.
- This is the first canonical episode to utilize the Halo Infinite engine.
- Epsilon's line "Someone once told me, 'Better can be good enough'." is a reference to what Carolina told him in Don't Say It.
