Freelancer Agent Oregon was once an agent in the Special Operations program Project Freelancer.

Role in Plot

While ensuring the safety of the Alpha, Agent Florida has a conversation with the computer program V.I.C., under the caves of Blood Gulch. V.I.C. reveals a list of Project Freelancer agents that would be sent to replace Florida in the event that Florida died. The list included Oregon, who was listed fifth as a replacement. After the conversation, Florida trips over a cable connected to V.I.C.’s computer and glitches V.I.C.’s programming, causing him to replace the list of Freelancers with random simulation troopers.

Years later, it’s revealed that all Freelancers ended up either dead or missing ten months after the Chorus-Charon war, making Oregon’s current status unknown.
