The New Republic Headquarters is the command center of the New Republic, hidden in a cavern under a jungle. Underneath the headquarters, there's a (radioactive) algae lake and the location was formerly a mining facility. The headquarters serves as the main setting for Season 12.
Role in Plot[]
Kimball's office.
First mentioned in FAQ, it makes it's first appearance in Lost But Not Forgotten when Simmons, Grif, Tucker, and Caboose are brought to the location after the battle at Crash Site Bravo. Here, they meet Vanessa Kimball, who convinces the four to join the New Republic in order to save their friends and end the civil war on Chorus.
Training at the base.
During Season 12, the four Reds and Blues utilize the base to train their squads after their promotions to captains. When informed of a potential rescue mission for their captured comrades, the four Blood Gulch Crew members make a team consisting of themselves and their best (or only) recruits: Jensen, Bitters, Smith, and Palomo. However, after they are laughed at for their constant failures while training, the Reds and Blues decide to leave the base without their recruits to go rescue their friends, refusing to risk the lives of the recruits.

After Felix lies that the Reds and Blues died, Kimball is convinced to lead the rebel soldiers at the headquarters to attack the Federal Army of Chorus at Armonia. However, after learning the truth of the Space Pirates' involvement in the Chorus Civil War, both armies order a cease fire and form a truce when the New Republic return to their headquarters. Jensen, Bitters, Smith, and Palomo then pick up the Blood Gulch Crew at Radio Jammer Station 1C and bring them back to the location.

- The New Republic headquarters being in a cave within a forest is similar to the Rebel Alliance originally having their headquarters in a temple on the forest moon of Yavin IV in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.
- The New Republic headquarters is represented by the Halo 4 map Erosion. Kimball's office is represented by the map Complex.
