- —Church in The Rookies
The Blue team's tank is a M808V training model, not the main battle tank in the Halo franchise. The difference is the training model has a barred, rather than full metal hatch, moves faster, is easier to control, and is easier to destroy as the driver is an easy target. But when the Reds and Blues return to Blood Gulch, she is a fully modified M808V MBT. After Sheila is transferred into the Pelican, Gamma takes control of the M808V MBT and uses it to attack the Blues, but is stopped by the combined efforts of Tucker, Caboose, and Sheila.
After the Blood Gulch Chronicles, the tank was left at Blood Gulch when many of the simulation troopers were relocated. At Rat's Nest, several other Scorpion training models were seen, but each was damaged and in disrepair due to Caboose's actions in Reconstruction. Many standard tanks of differing models have appeared throughout the series since, although none of them shown to be Smart Tanks with A.I.s.
The tank can still be seen at Blood Gulch in Season 15, parked alongside Blue Base.
- In Halo 2 Anniversary, there is an achievement for driving a Tank as the Arbiter called "Six pedals, Four directions," referencing Caboose's line "Why are there six pedals if there are only four directions?" in Check Out the Treads on That Tank.
- The M808V battle tank does not exist in the Halo canon.
