"Jensen and I have installed capture software into all of our helmets, allowing us to transmit what we saw on the battlefield to a local server."
Simmons in Training Daze

The Helmet Camera (also known as Helmet Cam for short) is a piece of capturing software equipment, created by Simmons and Jensen, that possess the ability to record footage on the battlefield from a soldier's visor and transfer said footage to a local server. If a nearby server is unavailable the helmet cam can be operated by an A.I.

Role in PlotEdit

Tucker recording Felix

This equipment was first utilized in Training Daze, when Tucker, Simmons, Grif, and Caboose train their chosen New Republic recruits, intending to use the Helmet Cameras to record their training exercises to review their abilities. However, the captains and their recruits are laughed at by the rest of the rebels as Felix continuously humiliates them in the footage. Later on in Fed vs. New, it's used by Tucker and Epsilon to expose the Space Pirates' involvement in the Chorus Civil War to the Chorus armies by recording Felix's confession and transmitting the video to Armonia.

  • Although only recently introduced, the Helmet Camera is currently used by more (known) characters than any other armor enhancement in the series, having nine users (Tucker, Simmons, Grif, Caboose, Palomo, Jensen, Bitters, Smith, and Jax). However, it's not the most used enhancement in terms of individuals, as many nameless Federal Army of Chorus soldiers and Space Pirates use Active Camouflage.
