The Combat Knife is a knife solely designed to be used for combat. It has been used by several characters in Red vs. Blue. The made its first appearance made its first appearance in Season 8's Reunion, being used by Tex.

- Epsilon-Tex: Tex used her knife to parry against the blade of the Meta's brute shot and stabbed him in the back before the Meta captured her. The knife was usually kept in a sheathe on her chest plate.
- Washington: Wash shows a pretty impressive proficiency concerning combat knives. Such as when he obtained Tex's knife that was impaled in the Meta's back in n+1. He then used it to battle the Meta in order to defend himself from the latter's blade attached to his Brute Shot, causing the Meta to cloak and attempt an ambush. Wash, however, saw through his invisibility and threw the knife directly into his shoulder. He also used a throwing knife he stole from Felix to assault Locus in a similar manner. He later used his own combat knife while fighting Diesel in Viper.
- Girlie: She carries around custom-made combat knifes that appear to be more similar to Kukris, they have long recurved blades with heart-shaped cutouts on the spine. They are used by her before and during the battle at the Longshore Shipyards in Season 10. She was seen sharpening them, before making use of them against Carolina after discarding her magnum pistols. Throwing one to disable one of Carolina's plasma rifles before unsheathing two and charging at the Freelancer.
- C.T.: After being caught up by Tex and Carolina, she made use of a combat knife to even the odds, first using it to stab Tex in the back after trying to subdue her. She was eventually disarmed by Carolina and killed by Tex.
- Sarge: In the PSA, Deja View, Sarge stabs Grif with the weapon.
- Simmons: In the PSA: Drafted, Simmons assassinates an Elite using this weapon. In Season 15, Simmons pulls a knife out during his fight with Gene and nearly succeeds in overpowering him before Gene tries to confuse Grif.
- Felix: Combat Knives are one of Felix's favorite weapons, which slightly fits in with his cruel, sadistic tendencies. His proficiency with knives was shown in Season 12, such as throwing one at a Fed that tries to ambush him from behind, before striking a pose and saying quietly to himself, "I am fucking awesome!". Felix later uses this weapon in a battle with Carolina, stabbing her in the leg with the knife. Toward the end of Season 12, he goes on to stab Tucker with it. Later on, towards the end of Season 13, Felix uses multiple throwing knives against Washington.
- Locus: After getting stabbed by a knife throw by Washington that formerly belonged to Felix, he tries to make use of it against the Freelancer after ripping it off himself and his armor.
- Buckey: Buckey uses a combat knife to kill a UNSC soldier during the beginning of Season 15.
- Phase: She carries around a very special and elaborate combat knife, which seems to have a blade that glows hot pink. It is related to her abilities, as she can teleport to wherever her knife is.
- East: East uses a dagger in Sideways during her fight against Phase.
