Trivia[]

  • This season was confirmed to take place moments after Season 15 in its official synopsis.
  • This is the first season since Season 5 to have an opening credits sequence.
  • This is also the first season since Revelation to have a specific subtitle.
  • This is additionally the first season since Season 5 where Sister appears as a main character.
    • Despite this, Rebecca Frasier isn't shown in the opening credits. This is also the case in Singularity. It is unclear why this is.
  • Jason Saldaña and Rebecca Frasier recorded much of their dialogue as Sister and Tucker this season in the recording booth at the same time, a rare occurrence in animated productions.
  • At the time of its release, this season had the least amount of episodes in the entire series with only 15 episodes compared to the usual 19-21 episodes of other seasons. Joe Nicolosi stated that he found the longer-than-normal runtime length of Season 15 (nearly 4 hours) to be too long, which is why he reduced it.
    • Each season following this one would have less and less episodes.
  • The first and last episode of the season spells out, "The Shisno Paradox".
  • The video on demand release (available on Google Play, iTunes and Steam) reduces the first fourteen episodes into just seven, ranging from 19 to 24 minutes. Six are named after what becomes the "first-parter" ("The Shisno", "Lost Time", "Headshots", "Walk and Talk", "Sword Losers", "A Time For Hammers"), while the combination of 7-8 is "Relapse and Recovery".
  • Joe Nicolosi confirmed a scrapped storyline for the season, which would’ve followed Kimball trapped in a dilemma during her reelection campaign on Chorus. The storyline would've begun with Locus captured and imprisoned on Chorus after being caught dropping off Wash at General Doyle General Hospital, with A'rynasea threatening to demolish the planet if Locus is not set free. It would've been up to Kimball to decide whether Locus should be freed, for if she releases Locus, she is guaranteed to lose the election due to Chorus' public opinion of him, but if she doesn't release him, the planet will be destroyed by A'rynasea.
  • This season introduced various new elements and alterations to both prior seasons lore and Halo lore, including the presence of the Cosmic Powers and the reality of time travel.
