A'rynasea,[1] or the Locus Pocus as suggested by Grif, is an alien ship acquired by Locus sometime between the end of Season 13 and several months prior to the events of Season 15. It is currently unknown how or where Locus obtained the ship.
Role in Plot[]
Locus' ship A'rynasea first appears in Objects in Space, though its origins prior to this, specifically how Locus found and took command of the ship, are unknown. Locus uses A'rynasea to pick up Lopez as he drifted through space. The two then later fly to Iris to pick up Grif, in order to rescue the Reds and Blues from the Blues and Reds. During the trip, Grif makes comments on A'rynasea, much to Locus' annoyance.
After rescuing the Reds and Blues, Wash is injured during a battle with the Zealots. Locus then again uses A'rynasea and successfully flies Wash to Chorus to get him the help he needs.
Characteristics[]
From the outside, the ship appears to resemble the human-alien hybrid weaponry that Charon Industries utilized from the alien technology left on Chorus or even some of the alien relics themselves. However, it is not known whether Locus obtained the ship from Chorus or elsewhere. The nose of the craft is armed with weaponry that, according to Locus, can split asteroids in half. It also seems to possess some automation, as it was able to fly itself to Locus via vocal command.
Inside is a high-tech, but cramped cockpit with space enough for two people; a pilot plus one other.
