<p>Yeah, 16 was far worse than anything 15 did. Aside from the B plot with Washington's brain damage (which I'd argue is actually one of the best plotlines in the series period, it was executed so damn well it makes the rest of the season that much more mind-boggling) and the final fight with Donut and Doc, most of the season was trainwreck with some of the weakest jokes in the series. Half of 16's jokes was basically characters randomily reading off a TV tropes page. The plot doesn't go anywhere until the 13th episode, which wouldn't be as painful if the episodes before it were actually funny. There were a few good jokes in the season, but way too few and far between. Also they have Grif repeat the exact same character arc he had in Season 15 for some reason, except executed way worse. </p><p>16 was so bad it actually made me appreciate 15 more when I rewatched it. I never thought 15 was bad and I still don't, I just thought it was weak compared to most of the other seasons, but 16 makes 15 look like shakespeare. </p>

<p>Seasons 2 and 3. Most people point to Season 5 for best BGC season (and I do love me some season 5 too), but 2 and 3 were and still are, such a blast for me to watch. Season 4 on the other hand is actually my least liked season period barring 14. Aside from the sword quest, the season was a bore and most of the jokes fell flat to me (particularly the Simmons defecting to blue team plot which dragged for way too long, went no where and only had one good joke out of it.) </p><p>Season 11 was cool too although I feel some plot elements could have been handled better. Also, I actually found the machinima crash site fights quite refreshing and enjoyable to watch actually. It was well choreographed enough to be entertaining despite lacking the flippy kicky stuff that most post-season 7 fights have. </p><p>Season 15 to me was the epitome of "Great idea, underwhelming execution." The season starts great but drops off for a while about when the Reds and Bues go to Temple's underwater base and begins to absoloutely drag. I also liked the idea of the Blues and Reds and other simulation troopers as villans, but again, felt like it was underwhelming in execution. Not to mention how anticlimatic the climax is and how they all go down with little to no fight, including temple himself. The only two who felt like they had a satisfying defeat funnily enough was surge and gene (Loco gets a pass too because heroic sacrifice). I wouldn't go as far as to say 15 was bad, it sure as shit had its great moments, but it was definetly underwhelming and disappointing to me. </p>

<p>I can see a way they can get around the god thing, since they never actually fought any of the gods directly, so I think they could go back to Merc/Soldier type enemies and have it work without the issue of "There's no threat here, they've fought worse." </p><p>Also I'd be down for Jason to handle his own story. He writes the characters well and I'd like to see him write his own story, it'd be cool for him to have that chance rather than ending a story that wasn't even his own. </p>

<p>As for what I want, I kinda hope to see character arcs for Simmons, Lopez and Sister since they've had the spotlight the least and haven't done all that much in the show, especially Simmons and Lopez. While all the other characters have at least grown personality wise since blood gulch, Simmons and Lopez in particular haven't changed at all and are pretty much the exact same charcters. If you took any clip of any character and compared it to Season 1 (or their debut season if they came later) you can tell they've come a long way (even Caboose), whereas Simmons and Lopez are identical now as their debut season. (Sister doesn't even have this issue. She's still "Loud Slut" like her debut, but she isn't braindead anymore, plus she has the excuse of only being around for 3 seasons total compared to 17). </p><p>I mention Sister as well because she just came back and hasn't had too much time to shine. She had a little bit in Season 16 and she didn't have much chance in Season 17 since it was mostly time travelling to points of time where she wasn't even around because she was only there for one season. She did get a bit more time in the second half of 17, particularly in the labyrinth, but I think it'd be cool If she got the spotlight a bit more in the new season. Plus I'd like to see her in a fight scene since she's the only character who's never been in one (excluding trying to stab the gusclops once and failing and not doing anything for the rest of the fight). </p>

<p>I kinda wish Lopez didn't show up again the finale. The Reds and Blues travelling looking for Lopez and stumbling into some more shit seems like it would've been a great setup for a new arc. </p><p>I doubt we'll hear from the Cosmic Powers again since they don't have much role in the grand scheme of things since in eality, they are just a group of lazy ass posers getting gullible races to do their work for them, not to mention most fans have had a pretty negative response to them, even after confirming theyare just A.I's faking being gods. </p><p>I doubt they'll go the alien angle unless Halo Infinite brings back playable elites. I wouldn't be suprised if they would have brought Juniour back as a mainstay alongside SIster in Season 15 had Halo 5 had playable elites.  </p><p>It's hard to say what they'll go for in a new arc. I wonder how they'll handle villans since you can't really top an A.I with literal god powers, although since they never really physically fought Genkins, Chrovos or the other Cosmic Powers directly, they could go back to Soldier/merc villans fine without the issue of "They aren't a threat because they've dealt with worse" imo. </p><p>Also I doubt Locus' meesage will come into play like others have spectated. Seems like that was only intended as a throwaway joke and nothing more. WIth that said, I wouldn't be suprised if they brought locus back in a supporting role again ala Season 15 since a lot of fans have expressed interest in that. </p>
