I'd like to think that this is just a question from the show that has yet to be answered. How do they come back to life? They either die or are just knocked unconscious in some way. We know that much, at least, because we have seen that much, but there is something more to them. I realize that their creation and inclusion in the show was just to be funny, but now that Red vs. Blue has become something more than just that (i.e. story, plot, emotion, rules, etc.), the reason as to why they "revive" themselves, or are revived by something else, has to be feasibly explained. Well, it doesn't HAVE to be, they're fine the way they are now and some things don't need to be explained, but it would still be nice to have a logical explanation.

The armor lock theory is interesting, but considering that they have beaten and shot to death more times than Donut (now that I think about it, probably not) it really wouldn't make too much sense for the armor lock to save them after a certain point. Perhaps they have some sort of super-human strength? It IS a simulation after all, and Project Freelancer did have access to that kind of equipment. I can see that being an explanation, but I'd rather not have too many "unkillable" people. That joke has been over used on Donut so much that it has pretty much become his exclusive running gag.

I always wondered if maybe they had stumbled upon another alien artifact that granted them the ability to revive themselves, as we have already seen the Green Alien revive Agent Florida in Season 5. They did say that death was treated differently by the aliens, so an alien artifact that peformed such a feat wouldn't be much of a stretch. We've seen plenty of alien artifacts in the show now though, it may be overkill if another was introduced so soon.

I rambled on way longer than I thought I would. I was just going to do the first paragraph and be done with it, but then I kept typing and now here I am.... Well, thanks for reading.
