Well ignoring the flashback scenes from Seasons 9 & 10 since they're in the past so anything's possible. There is actually a real world reason as to why his right shoulder piece and his chest armour change from Seasons 6 & 7 to 8.

It's because when it came to animating the characters in full CGI for the first time, they didn't actually have the correct armour pieces modelled in time so they used pre-existing ones to compensate and so changed his look in game to match his CGI version.
